BOSTON, October 13, 2026 — Boston technology entrepreneur, author and speaker Dean Whitney today announced the official launch of Get Better, an AI-powered personal development platform designed to help people understand where they are in life, clarify what matters most and take meaningful steps toward the future they want to create.

The platform brings together Whitney’s experience developing software products across financial services and life sciences with nearly two decades of research into human development, behavior change and personal transformation.

“People often know they want something to change, but they do not know where to begin,” said Whitney, founder of Get Better Lab. “I created Get Better to help people understand their lives, discover what genuinely matters to them and decide what to do next. The app turns that understanding into something they can act on each week.”

Based on Whitney’s book, Get Better: A Neuroscience-Based Framework for Human Development, the platform combines structured life assessment, personal vision building, weekly planning, ongoing reflection and AI-guided conversations.

At the center of the experience is the Life Quality Score, or LQS, a proprietary assessment that gives users a structured view of the factors shaping their quality of life. Rather than focusing on a single measure such as fitness, productivity or financial success, the assessment considers a broader foundation that includes health, connection and resources, as well as the user’s opportunities for creativity, impact and growth.

The results help users identify where change could make the greatest difference. Get Better then uses those insights to support a personalized Life Vision, including an AI-generated vision statement and vision board that help make the desired future more specific and tangible.

Users can continue the process through guided journaling, AI coaching conversations, progress check-ins and a 168-hour planning framework that connects long-term priorities to the way they use their time each week.

“My career has been about creating products that help people navigate complexity,” Whitney said. “With Get Better, I am applying that experience to questions that are deeply personal: What is my purpose? What do I want my life to look like? What is getting in the way? And how do I begin moving toward it?”

Whitney developed the Get Better framework through a combination of personal experience, professional product strategy, coaching practice and long-term study of neuroscience, human performance and lasting behavior change. He holds a certificate in Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching from Harvard Medical School and is a certified neuroscience coach.

The launch extends Get Better from a book and coaching framework into an evolving technology platform. Future applications may include programs and partnerships with organizations seeking practical tools for employee wellbeing, human development, education and healthier behavior change.

Get Better is available on the web at GetBetterApp.com, with free and paid membership options. Journalists may request an interview with Whitney, a product demonstration, platform access and approved press images through the media contact below.
